Pine Hollow Farm is home to a small flock of Icelandic Sheep. This Northern European short-tailed breed provides a dual-coated fleece which helps them thrive in frigid Minnesota winters. The long outer coat known as tog is excellent for waterproofing, while the short undercoat known as thel is soft and is used to create next to skin garments. Here at Pine Hollow, we blend these two fibers to create a mix which is called Lopi. Using this type of blend we create a variety of woven products and home goods.
